As a family-owned bank, we like to take care of our clients just like we’d take care of our own. That means we’re available when they need us, where they need us. One associate who exemplifies this company ethos is Kimbrely Gruidl, wealth management private banker. Kimbrely truly puts our clients first and serves their needs whenever they come up. She’s out and about in the community, forging new connections, so she can continue to make helping people her number one priority. Learn more about Kimbrely in this month’s Associate Spotlight.
How long have you worked at Fremont Bank, and what’s your role? What does your day-to-day look like?
I celebrated six years working at Fremont Bank in February. I am a Wealth Management Private Banker serving some of the top business and consumer clients of the bank. My days vary from week to week. I am very involved in the community, so I attend many meetings, mixers, and events in addition to serving the needs of my existing clients, as well as working on bringing in new business opportunities. I am glued to my phone making myself available at any time via call, text, or email.
What do you enjoy the most about your job? What excites you about your job when you start your day?
I love the people I meet and having a real connection to the community I serve. I am proud to represent Fremont Bank everywhere I go; the bank has such a great reputation, and people are constantly sharing their experiences with me. Helping people is my number one priority, I absolutely love sharing ideas and solutions with clients — no matter how big or small the need may be.
What’s your greatest strength as a business professional?
I will share two: The first is that I genuinely care about the people I work with and whom I work for. It’s not about “making the sale”; it’s about doing the right thing the right way. Honesty is huge: There are uncomfortable conversations you may face, but face them head on. “Underpromise and overdeliver” is my motto. People have much more respect for you if you are upfront and honest. The second is consistency. The solution may be right in all other ways, but the timing could be wrong. It’s important to stay in contact, follow up, and not give up!
What are you currently binge-watching or reading, and what do you like about it?
We just binged “The Bear” on FX. It is great (ignore the strong language!). I loved it; it’s such a great story! Fun fact: I once had a sales pitch with Thomas Keller from the French Laundry, so this series was especially fun for me. As far as reading goes, I started a book club with my Business Networking International group, and if you haven’t read “Atomic Habits,” you absolutely must!
What does your ideal day look like?
A perfect day for me would be a day on the coast: hiking, visiting a spa for a facial/massage, enjoying a nice lunch, reading a book, and watching the waves. I would spend the whole day with my family–my husband Kevin and kids Erika and Logan. If it ended with a bingo win, that would be perfection!
